Caution: Smugness and Self-Satisfaction in Use
The water is turned on, and it's not going where it shouldn't. The project can move forward. I didn't even set the studs on fire with my torch (thanks to a heat shield I fashioned out of a piece of sheet metal).
I've heard of Pex, but I didn't know whether or not our codes here allowed it. Today I'm going to do one last pressure test, then put up the roofing felt and hardibacker. Hopefully, the next time human eyes gaze upon these pipes, they won't be my eyes, and it will be many years from now.
are you tiling? A friend of mine does alot of tile work and suggested that i stay away from hardibacker and go with concrete backerboard, wonderboard. It is easy to cut with a circular saw (carbide tooth). Whichever you decide to use just make sure you use the correct screws, or you'll be screwed.

Your manliness is without equal.
Very nice work. I used Pex in my bathroom. It's not nearly as "pretty" as copper :(. Are you remodeling the other bath now?
