Afternoon Snack


A pan-seared flatiron steak with salt & pepper, a squeeze of lemon and a drizzle of black truffle oil.
We chased it with a bit of the Death by Christmas Brownies that arrived the previous day (shudders with pleasure).

Great. You always post those pictures when I'm hungry. This is deliberate, isn't it? You and Kathy - it's a conspiracy, isn't it?
The brownies are incredible, aren't they? I was so bummed I couldn't take any - and I can't make them because I'm lacking the ingredients! Life's just not fair.
You must remember to share the cookies with my silly man, btw.
Oh, and the box on the bottom of the package is/was for Lindsey.

I've never made a flatiron steak but I've seen them in the meat case at Bello Vino. The picture of that steak is driving me crazy and I know it was damn tasty!
